Expectation

Expectation is something that one feels entitled to by others.

We create anger, hurt and entrappment to those whom we place these expectations upon.

When expectation is placed on you, what feelings come into play?

Do you feel backed up against the wall or forced into something that is not in your heart?

Do feelings of resentment or irritation arise in you?

When we expect something from someone, we are setting ourselves up for disappointment.

Where does expectation come from?

It arises from a place where there is a lack of responsibility of self.

We all have experienced this form of lack.

We expect our friends, family, co-workers or partners to give us something because we feel we
"deserve" or are "entitled" to it.

We expect gifts for holidays and celebrations from loved ones or aquaintances because we feel
entitled to them.

There are times when feel we deserve an increase in pay for the hard work we have put forth.

We feel we deserve respect in situations that arise in daily life.

We expect others to treat us with honor and love.

When we go about life waiting for these things to come our way through others, we will end up hurt.

When we have no expectations or feeings of entitlement, we will have found a place of responsibility
within ourselves.

We will no longer seek others out for are own happiness or self worth.

Find that place of love and honor of who you are and watch this reflection of self enter into your life.
