How Sadness is Linked to God

Posted by Maria Certo on Tuesday, February 28, 2012

How many times have you been sad?

What were the reasons for the sadness?

Sadness is linked to God.

When we are sad, we are trying to connect to God to feel whole.

Every sad encounter brings us to love, which brings us back to God.

That gaping hole that feels so empty is starving to be filled with love.

How do we fill that emptiness?

Praying will always bring wholeness to that vacant feeling that sits there awaiting to overflow with grace.

When we pray, we are speaking directly to God.

Each prayer is heard and answered.

When we remain stuck in self pity or anger, we end up creating more of the same because that is what our focus is on.

But when we pray, we are releasing the sadness and confusion as we seek the truth.

Until we finally 'get it', we will continue having the same patterns show up in our lives.

It is like taking an exam and getting the same answer wrong over and over again.

You can't get a perfect grade until you learn the answer.

Right?

The same holds true with the patterns we keep attracting into our lives that cause us upsets.

Resistance will always brings us back to the beginning.

When we allow God to enter our existence in our darkest moments, a light will shine brightly and a wholeness will take place.

Being sad is God's heart opening up yours.

Open your heart to God.
