Pain

Posted by Maria Certo on Monday, September 20, 2010

Emotional pain causes so many feelings to stir up within us.

When we are hurting, our instinct is to run from the pain.

Running from our feelings will ultimately cause the physical body to suffer.

The body needs an outlet from the heavy emotional energy it holds onto.

Escapism leads to addictions of all kinds.

It may bring one to drugs, alcohol, sexual imbalances, obsessions, compulsions or gambling, all of which will result in further problems.

Being with the pain is the first step in acknowleging what you are feeling.

This can be very uncomfortable.

Finding the core reasons for the emotional pain is a beginning to healing.

Where does the pain stem from?

Is it a lack of self love?

Is it a need that wants to be fulfilled?

Is it from a childhood  trauma?

Does it stem from abuse?

There are many factors to consider when trying to get to the bottom of the pain and why it is affecting everything in your life.

Counseling is extremely important in dealing with unresolved issues and hurts from the past.

Prayer is another channel in freeing your spirit from the restrictiveness you have placed on yourself by holding onto the pain.

If you are experiencing feelings of insecurity, frustration, anxiousness or sadness, allow yourself to feel
them in depth and discover where the root cause is coming from.

Do not run from these feelings.

Sit with them.

Feel them.

Then release them over to God.

Surrender!

You will find the answers you are seeking as you go through this process of healing and releasing.

Emotional pain teaches the soul the essence of ITS true path in life.

This guidance will protect you as you follow your soul's truth.
