The Child Within ......

Posted by Maria Certo on Tuesday, May 27, 2014

Above is a picture of myself on the left at 5 years old and on the right is my beautiful Godmother Janette.

I find this picture to be an important reflection for myself and to all reading this post whom require connecting with your inner child.

We all hold a piece of our child self within us.

There are times when we want to break out and play, run, laugh and feel the innocence of life and of ourselves.

As we go through life, we gather stresses and build heavy weights that we carry around with us in day to day living.

We need to learn how to remove these burdens that weigh us down.

Sit in a quiet place and connect with your inner child.

Recall the purity of your soul and the sweetness of your heart.

Hug that child and tell her/him you love them.

One may grow up never receiving those needs from their own household/family.

What better person than yourself to bring Love and Healing to that inner child.

Listen to her/him.

What is she/he saying?

What does she/he need?

Whatever you hear, supply God's child with everything she/he lacked in childhood.

Become whole through God's warm breaths of love and soft whispers into your soul's ears.

Hand your inner child your purest thoughts of love so they may imprint onto your soul.

Feel the lightness of your heart as you begin to heal your inner child.

Abandon the wounded child.

 Live your life fully.
