Trusting in What You Know to Be True in Your Heart

Posted by Maria Certo on Friday, January 28, 2011

Have you ever felt something deep within yourself that seemed illogical but true?

Where does this feeling arise from?

This is an inner knowing!

Your guides and angels are speaking loudly to you and trying to get your attention.

The question is....are you willing to listen?

Do you have what it takes to defy your rational mind over your inner knowing?

Sometimes what appears to be safe, is not safe at all and visa verse.

I would like to share a story that will reveal this truth.

Many years ago, I was in a job that was causing me extreme stress.

The stress came from my boss, who at the time decided she was going to do everything in her power to make my life miserable at work.

She always loved me and gave me excellent evaluations at the years end.

Out of know where, she decided to be on my back and create a work place that was not conducive to my being.

Others at work  were feeling the same negative energy she was putting out there onto them as well.

A whole month went by and I could not take it anymore!

I was constantly on the phone on my break trying to call other places to see if they were hiring.

Nothing was going in my favor. I was trying too hard to leave my current job due to the negativity all around me.
I was in a sense, pushing away what I needed because I wanted to leave so badly.

Then it came to me.

I had the 'moment' of guidance that said, Leave, Quit!

I said to myself," are you kidding me, I have a mortgage to pay along with a zillion bills".

This was not logical!

I realized that this was a test!
Did I have the faith and courage to follow my heart and Trust that all would be taken care of?

I sat in quiet for about a week with it going through all of the logical reasons why it was not a good idea.
At the same time I was getting the 'message' inside myself that it would all be ok.

So I took the plunge into the unknown!

I went to work and put in my 2 week notice.

Everyone, including my friends, family and coworkers were stunned.
They thought I was insane!
They knew I had nothing in place to back me up financially.

In that moment, I felt so FREE!

I was free to be me!
I no longer was going to be controlled by a boss who was treating me unkindly and unfair for no Good reason!
I Honored myself!

Well, within 3 days I had a new job that paid more, was more freeing and without negativity!

God took care of all the details!

This was My Moment of Truth, My Truth!

This is the moment when I really began trusting my inner knowing!

The lesson is that when something feels illogical to your mind, but your gut is telling you differently, pay attention to what is being shown or told to you by your intuition.

Your inner knowing never lies!

It is your mind that plays tricks on you in following your heart.

The mind and heart Always need to be in alignment.

What this means is that your mind cannot be afraid to make a decision that you know to be true.

Fear cannot play a role in making the necessary changes that are needed to open your heart and path into your TRUE soul's journey!

Having complete Trust and Faith are the key feelings in walking into the unknown.

Your mind and heart are both saying.....Yes, Yes, and Yes!
